Marilyn is President and CEO of UnderGrid Networks, a technology and engineering firm, guiding businesses around the globe in developing connected solutions.

Marilyn is a recognized technology expert and is known for crafting the requisite strategic visions, then turning those visions into profitable products and businesses. She serves as an Advisor to many Blockchain based projects. Her latest entrepreneurial success includes defining the North American standards for Rich Communication Services with Mobile Carriers, Google, and Samsung to develop Application2Person messaging utilizing universal mobile platforms.

After successful corporate careers with Verizon, Cisco and IBM, Marilyn launched Undergrid Networks and is one of the few women business owners focused on the mobile core and Software Defined Architectures. Her experiences and book of outcomes include, but are not limited to, ushering Fortune 100 companies into new technology adoptions while improving their operational efficiencies and bottom lines.

She is a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park and holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics and has held a TS/SCI with PolySci security clearance for important government roles. She is an alumnus of the University of Maryland’s program for Women Entrepreneurs in Technology and an active member of member of The City of Atlanta Woman Entrepreneur Initiative (WEI). She volunteers her time to the Grace Hopper Conference and Anita Borg Institute and mentors young women interested in high tech businesses.
