Kate Green is a Quality Architect at Upside Travel. She got her start with a 15 minute crash course in HTML during her freshman year of college. She honed her JS chops during the great AngularJS craze of 2013-2014. Around the same time she forced herself to use unit and end-to-end testing, and realized their worth after having to repeatedly refactor code on tight deadlines. After rising to lead the front end development team for a newspaper publisher, she decided to transition to QA, where she could create and automate tools to make other developers better. At Fugue, she leads testing for all visual products, manages data processing and visual display of QA’s nightly tests on all products, and tries hard to foster a great work culture for everyone.
