An operations expert with a passion for hacktivism and tech inclusion, Amy has committed her career to expanding diversity in the technology industry. As Director of TechGirlz, Amy helps lead an organization inspiring middle school girls to explore the possibilities of tech to empower their future lives.
Amy began as an operations manager at a number of well-known brands, including The Franklin Mint and ServiceMaster. But driven to expand her skills and desiring a path inspired by her personal passions, Amy became a self-taught freelance web designer and launched a business teaching tech to young people. From this start, she built a reputation as a hacktivist dedicated to shaping a future generation of technologists.
Through ongoing work as a webmaster and with organizations like Qeyno Labs, her experience with STEAM programs and participants affirmed her life and career choice. Amy launched her second business in the tech field and became a volunteer organizer with Girl Develop It before her introduction to TechGirlz.
Today, Amy helps lead the expansion of TechGirlz and Women In Tech Summit, both programs of Creating IT Futures, to new communities around the country. Her vision is to nurture, grow and sustain a more diverse technology workforce.
