In this talk Morgan will bring together the themes of her work and play – competition and gamification in tech and as a tech founder.
Over the last four years she has had the opportunity to widely share three almost separate talks: the first is her journey as a female entrepreneur raising capital, building a team and growing a product. The second has been speaking about how MilkCrate is using our tech for social and environmental good – specifically using gamification with verifiable behaviors like gps and mode of transit.
Finally, she has been speaking more about how her experience as a woman and business owner fuels her new adventure competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (and winning gold medals!). This talk will guide women newer to tech to think about how to handle the stress and optimize their skill sets, how to think about adversity and failure vs winning, and share some technical insights in how we use games and competition to drive behavior change for users.
