Ashley and Kimberly will be sharing a real life story that began at a WITS conference. Ashley was a career changer, just recently transiting into tech when she attended her first WITS conference. She knew she needed to network to learn more about her field, but she was somewhat timid. The only thing she could think of to do was to walk up to the lady who gave the opening remarks and introduce herself. From that initial handshake, grew a powerful mentoring relationship.
During this session, they will describe how they met their mentors, how the past 5 years has enriched both of our lives through a close and productive mutual supportive relationship and the mentoring hacks that we have identified and want to share with the WITS community.
